My first experience recording in the studio came to life through a huge leap of faith. John and I traveled to Dallas, NC, in 2002 to Rushing Winds Music Studio on the recommendation of a couple of friends who had recorded there. When I listened to their albums, I really liked what I heard, so I took a rough recording of the songs I had been working on, and hit the road. That first day, when I met Gary Rushing of Rushing Winds Music Productions, I confess, I was shaking in my boots. I felt very intimidated and was afraid I was going to crash and burn because I was a complete novice. But Gary immediately put me at ease with his down-to-earth, yet professional, way about him. We got right to work, and 5 days later had a finished product that I am still so proud of all these years later.

I was privileged to work with the most incredibly gifted musicians ever! Music arrangements came to life under the guidance of Art Bain; Tony Creasman worked his magic on drums and percussion; possibly the most talented musician I've ever met - David Johnson - played acoustic guitars, mandolin, dobro, fiddles, harmonica and steel guitar; Mylon Hayes on bass was terrific; David Moody, another incredible talent, played acoustic and electric guitar; on piano, keyboards, and orchestration was Art Bain, who made the instruments sing; and the fabulous background vocalists are Natalie Johnston, Gina Sellars, and Art Bain.
